<p>Well, few fitness experts would argue that the quality of your abdominal muscles can either make or break an impressive physique. Ask anybody. There&#8217;s nothing quite like a sensational six pack. A sleek, sexy and healthy body is something that we all want and work hard to achieve. However, if you&#8217;ve ever tried sculpting that perfect body, you come to realize it&#8217;s more difficult than you were led to believe. This difficulty can be ascribed to the lack of core strength. The famous Pilates program identifies your core strength as residing in the lower part of your torso &#8211; mainly, your abs.</p>
<p>Perhaps, if everyone were really working hard to get a nice set of abs, plenty more people would have them by now. In reality, most people are hardly working out. They tend to do so when it&#8217;s convenient for them and doesn&#8217;t interfere with their TV schedule. One reason folks aren&#8217;t getting motivated is due to results. Or should I say lack there of? You see, when it comes to working out and getting fit, people want it to happen over night. Unfortunately that is not realistic. It takes proper dieting and a regular ab workout to get that chiseled six pack. Are you willing to do the work? I know you&#8217;ll love the results. You should know that, if you&#8217;ve got weak and flabby abs, you&#8217;ll require the most carefully planned ab workout program. Your core strength is the most important component in your work out routine. It gives the rest of your body the strength to endure long workouts, and to bear the weight of lifting heavy objects. But, If your ab workout regimen is well structured and fortified with targeted ab exercises, you will surely be on the fast track to a lean, fit and healthy body. </p>
<p>Particularly, showing off muscles is something everyone likes to do. Yeah, it&#8217;s right that this is not for a guy but for girls also who enjoy strutting across the beach in their new two-piece and exposing their rock-hard abdominal muscles. It&#8217;s a great feeling to know you&#8217;re lean and strong. But, what is the best ab workout, and is there a little more involved? Well, it all starts with your diet. Think about what you consume each day. Do you focus on foods that are high in fat and sugar? This is a major no-no. If you want your abs to show and look amazing, you shouldn&#8217;t be consuming tons of fat and unhealthy calories. </p>
<p>Try a low-fat diet with plenty of exercise and water. In order to show off your abs, you need to remove the excess fatty tissue that covers them up. But not without adopting the right kind of diet. Then there&#8217;s the ab workout aspect of it all. This is just as important. You want to try exercises that put good strain on your abdominal muscles specifically. For example, sit-ups primarily work your sides, and not your abs. So this is not a good ab workout. Try crunches, but perform them properly. Lie on your back, place your legs up on a chair so that your knees point straight up to the ceiling, clasp your hands behind your head and clench you tummy. You should come about a third of the way off the floor. When you clench, hold it for a few seconds before you relax and start again. This will put better strain on the abdominals. </p>
<p>Bear in mind that, the techniques you use in performing in various exercise matters. Your ab workout can be extremely effective, or disappointingly worthless. Let&#8217;s say you start an ab workout that centers around crunches. If you are in a stationary position for the entire workout, you&#8217;ll eventually develop oddly, disproportionate muscles. While one section of your abs may bulge with strength and firmness, the rest might hang, retaining their original sad state. To avoid this, make sure you vary the positions and angles in which you do crunches. Instead of going straight back and forth, integrate a side-to-side twist every now and then. These type of ab exercises will ensure that your muscles are evenly developed and that your ab workout is not a waste of time. </p>
<p>Remember to those who have a back injuries or other medical conditions may be concerned about the safety of an ab workout. Always check with your doctor before beginning any ab workout program. Simple sit ups can bring a healthy tone to those muscles that have been dormant for so many years. And if you&#8217;re having an especial difficult time, have a friend hold your ankles down. You can also slide your feet under the bed and place a pillow on top of your feet for cushioning. This will make your ab exercises more effective.</p>
<p>In fact, one of the best ways to get all-over coverage during an ab workout is to bring your knees halfway up to your torso, with ankles slightly elevated. With hands folded behind your head, continue with your crunches until you feel a slight tingling, burning sensation in your muscle tissue.</p>
<p>While the midsection is crucial to whether you&#8217;re perceived as being either &#8216;fit&#8217; or &#8216;fat&#8217;, all the ab training known to man will not prevail without the adjoining dedication to both strict dieting and considerable amounts of cardiovascular activity. <p>Stomach Exercises To Lose Belly Fat</p>
<p>Many people are concerned about losing those few extra pounds of belly fat which stand between them and a sculpted midriff. Those people who let themselves go a little in the winter months may be working overtime very soon as summer will soon be with us and thoughts of bikinis and flat stomach are dancing in their heads. The good news is that there are, of course, stomach exercises to speed along the process. Some are better than others, including these few, which are good specifically for losing belly fat. As with any workout routine, be sure to consult a professional before beginning and always warm up properly to avoid injury.Hip LiftFor this stomach exercise, you will need to lie on your back on a flat surface, such as the floor. Use a mat or towel to cushion your spine. Put your arms at your sides with palms facing up to the ceiling. Put your legs straight up in the air so that the soles of your feet are facing the ceiling and your legs make about a ninety degree angle with your torso. Keep your knees unbent and as straight as possible. Now, contract your ab muscles so that it feels like your belly button is being pulled toward your spine, while at the same time gently lifting your hips off the floor. Raise your hips to height of a few inches, keeping your legs extended straight upward. Hold this position, then slowly lower your hips back to the floor. Repeat for an entire set.Seated Torso TwistStay on the floor for this stomach exercise, getting into a seated position. Bend your knees so that your feet are flat on the floor. Position your feet about hip width apart. Extend your arms straight out in front of you, interlocking your fingers. Contract your abdominals and lean back about forty-five degrees. Holding the contraction, rotate your torso as far to one side as you are comfortably able. Use your abdominals to control this motion so that your upper body moves at once, do not lead with your arms. Remember to keep your arms in from of you with fingers locked&#8211; pretend you are aiming an imaginary gun. Once you have rotated as far as you feel comfortable, rotate back to center, then to the other side. Repeat these steps for an entire set. Take care to go slow and keep a controlled movement. Do not allow your momentum to twist you.</p>
<p>Ball RollIf you just quickly glanced at the title, you may have gone to find a ball before reading on. If you did, you can go put it away, because in this stomach exercise, you are the ball! First, sit on the floor and hug your knees to your chest. Roll back slightly so you are balancing on your tail bone and your feet are off the floor, toes pointing downward. Pull your abdominals inward while rolling onto your lower back and the upper part of your butt. Contract your abdominals and pull yourself back to the starting position. Loosening your arms up may help if you find this exercise too difficult at first.Standing CrossoverAs the name implies, you will need to stand up for this stomach exercise. Position your feet a few inches apart. Put your arms out to the sides and bend your elbows at a ninety degree angle so your fingertips are pointing to the ceiling and your palm are facing forward. Contract your abdominals and lift your right knee toward your left elbow, while at the same time bringing your left elbow down toward your right knee. Touch the two joints together, pause, then return to start. Switch sides and repeat for an entire set.</p>

Walking, running, cycling or stairclimbing are just a few of the options that will complement your ab workout plan. It is critical, however, to raise your heart rate and sustain the effort for at least 30 minutes in order to burn fat. This may be done at least 3 times a week.If you wish to make the most of your cardiovascular routine, some fitness pros also counsel you to do it in the early morning before breakfast. Does anyone actually know? I mean, I&#8217;m not fat or anything, but those ads are really annoying and once I actually clicked on one and it didn&#8217;t give me the tip. I&#8217;m just curious to find out what it is and also, I didn&#8217;t know what else to ask on Y!A so yeah&#8230;Please don&#8217;t put anything obvious like &#8220;stop eating&#8221; or &#8220;exercise&#8221;. <p>Mike, if you were a bodybuilder you&#8217;d know that sugar is actually very much needed, just not in large amounts. It helps process protein and stop lactic acid from breaking down your muscles after your glycogen stores are depleted.</p>
